  Crystal Cooper

Crystal Cooper was raised in a household bubbling with musical influence and talent.  Whether waking up to the sounds of her father’s saxophone or relaxing to an old Ella Fitzgerald record, she was never far from music’s warm embrace.
Crystal picked up the guitar during her junior year in high school and by the end of her senior year she had written her first original song.  Crystal Cooper’s music draws influence from a very broad spectrum: from jazz icon Billie Holiday to R&B/Soul powerhouse Natalie Cole.
Her positive lyrics and upbeat free-style live show will inspire, motivate and dazzle the listeners.
Crystal Cooper has sold thousands of copies of her debut album, entitled Acceptable, across the country.  She is actively sought after by other artist for her song writing ability.   In addition to writing songs for others, she is currently working on material for her second album which she is also Co-Producing.

I wanted to let you know that Crystal was an absolute gem on campus today! I’ve gotten a lot of good feedback and those who watched really enjoyed her bubbly personality and great talent! It is always wonderful to find artists that are so close to home! Thanks again for the great music!
Celeste McNiel, Student Engagement and Activities Specialist, Texas A&M University - Texarkana, TX

Wally, Crystal had a great performance. Was very kind and engaging. Students really enjoyed her.
Janet Kasper, Office of Student Activities/Events, Lone Star College - Montgomery, TX

Crystal was great, we had about 80 people in and out during her performance. This is a new concept that I am working on, so the low attendance had nothing to do with Crystal. She was really easy to work with. I hope to have her back next year.
Debbie Butschlick, Coordinator of Student Activities , University of Wisconsin at Washington County – West Bend, WI

It went really great , it was raining, yet we still drew a lot of people. They liked Crystal, she's a good performer. People want to have her again here at UTPA.
Jared Dominguez , Chair, N2Tunes/Coffeehouse Committee, University of Texas Pan-American

Crystal was amazing. Her show as so engaging and the students just loved her. I truly loved her songs and the message they contained. I wasn't aware that she did Christian Contemporary music, but given we have a large Campus Crusade for Christ group on campus, they were thrilled to have her come. Her lively tunes that were such an answer to questions young people have as they walk with Christ during these dark days. I could sum up her performance in two words, "Simply Amazing!!!!!"
Tamara Carter, Coordinator of Multicultural Affairs, William Woods University - Fulton, MO

We had Crystal perform on Monday. She was great! We have a tough audience and they seemed to be very receptive of her. It was great having her, she was very professional and was a great performer!
Raquel Perez, Lead Student Programmer , Purdue University of Calumet – Hammond, IN

Good performance! Students really enjoyed her. She connected with the students and even let a few join her on the mic. Laid back performance—not completely structured but I think students liked that. Several students stayed after to talk with Crystal and asked when she was coming back to UTSA.
Tabitha Byrne, Assistant Director for UC Programs , University if Texas – San Antonio, TX

The show went AWESOME, the students even requested that she do another song after she had already packed up !!!! We love Crystal and we will most definitely have her back. Thanks Wally !!!!
Darnell Pledger, Traditions Coordinator, McNeese State University, Lake Charles, LA

Crystal gave a great show and she was so sweet and personable. Her style was very laid back and perfect for our come-and-go atmosphere during lunch. I know that she is new to traveling and doing gigs, so I can’t wait to see how her shows will be in a year from now. I would definitely love to have her back! (And maybe she’ll have her GPS by then! J She mentioned how frequently she gets lost – I suffer from the same syndrome, so I completely empathize with the directionally challenged folks.)
Stephanie Howeth , DSA , Southeastern Oklahoma State University, Durant, OK

Apologies for the delay, this past weekend has been a hassle as you can imagine , with IKE hitting Houston . My house is still without electricity as of last Thursday night! But luckily I have enough gas to last me a couple days of office work this week J. Everything went fine with Crystal; we were able to get her set up and ready to go on good time. She’s was definitely a joy to work with and her positive attitude was contagious! Despite her lack of experience she handled everything very well and I can only see her getting better and better from there.
- Eddie Haddad , SPB Concerts , University of Houston, TX

Crystal Cooper was exactly what we needed to set the mood for our "Open Mic Nite." She was a breath of fresh air.
Shannon "Mercedes" Levingston , Student Advisor, KBWC 91.1 FM , Wiley College , Marshall, TX

Oh my heavens - that girl can sing!! She did a great show for us, was very comfortable on stage and visiting with the students. There were many positive comments from the students, but also from the faculty/staff and administration members that were attending the event. I had one administrator that was hoping she was one of our students! Her voice is so powerful and you can really feel the energy that she puts into her performance. Thank you so much for suggesting her for our Welcome Week - it was a perfect fit for our campus and event.
Angie Totty , Director of Student Life , Arkansas State University at Beebe, Beebe AR

Crystal has an amazing voice! It was a great show and everyone really liked her and would have loved to hear more!
Chantel N. Gau, SGA President, Texas Lutheran University, Seguin, TX

Crystal Cooper is as beautiful inside as she is outside. She is a pleasure to work with and gives each performance 110%. Book her today - you won't be sorry and you'll fast become a hero on your campus. - Marjoree Harper, Director of Student Life, Bossier Parish Community College, LA

"Wow, what a talent!" Crystal has performed for us a few times over the last few years, It is her ability to interact with an intimate crowd as well as perform on stage to a large audience that tells me she has the gift. The price of her show does not compare to the wealth of talent that she will bring to your program. You won't be disappointed.

Chris Bagwell, Assistant Director of Student Life, Bossier Parish Community College
