Amy Schwartz is a lecturer, educator & comedian. She is passionate about helping all learners to harness their gifts by learning diverse learner success stories, teaching learning & productivity techniques & finding environments or careers where student's uniqueness makes them thrive.
Amy has over a decade of experience working days in neurodiagnostics, teaching arts & special education & evenings doing stand-up comedy. She uses her humor to engage students while educating them with tools to help them grow.
Amy is ADHD, dyslexic & in the LGBTQIA+ community, she personally understands challenges students may encounter. Amy trained at Alpha Krav Maga Academy. She is passionate about the feeling of security & resilience self-defense provides. Amy leads students to confidently navigate their worlds.
Amy has a bachelors in sociology and psychology from Western Michigan University, studied neurodiagnostiscs and the brain through an intensive program at Midwestern College as well studied Psychology at Louisiana State University. Amy is ABRET certified. She worked for Lurie Children’s hospital, KRESA Schools, Laugh Factory & Columbia College.

Sleep Health/ Health
• Over 65% of college students have sleep trouble, which affects their learning, health and mental health. • Amy works in sleep health and helps students overcome insomnia & sleep obstacles. Amy is a certified in sleep consultation from the International Parenting & Health Institute & ABRET certified in neurodiagnostics. Amy has experience from putting patients to sleep in a clinical setting at Lurie Children’s Hospital
Unique Learning/ Mental Health & Education • Students with ADHD have a graduation rate of 5-9%, students with Autism have a graduation rate of 35-39 % & neurotypical students have a graduation rate of about 60%. • Amy's goal is to help lower the high dropout rates for all learners & unique learners. Amy has experience teaching students with ADHD, Dyslexic, Autism & all learning styles. • Amy teaches students healthy empowering productivity & learning techniques to overcome any academic and work challenges. Amy boost all students’ confidence in the process. • Schwartz worked at Columbia College teaching coping & learning techniques that allow students to thrive and harness their creativity.
Humor/ Entertainment • Amy Schwartz is a stand-up comedian & alumni of The Second City. She ran & hosted a variety show at Laugh Factory called B.A.D. Waves Remix. She currently writes for Pauly Shore in L.A. & performs at colleges all over.
Diversity/ LGBRTQIA • Amy focuses on LGBTQIA+ & diverse learner empowerment, education & productivity techniques for all learners, self-defense, sleep, and health. • Amy has professional and personal experience as an ADHD diverse learner & member of the LGBTQIA+ community, who has worked in LGBTQIA+ event production, neurodiagnostics research and education with diverse learners.
